My Journey with Archangels: A Guide to Connection and Healing

I wasn’t raised with any deep knowledge of Archangels, but life and intuition have a way of nudging you toward what you need to know. My belief in Archangels developed unexpectedly through my own experiences and the wisdom of science-minded, spiritually curious women I follow. It’s these women who blend “woo” and logic who made me start to pay attention.
One of the most surprising things for me was how I began visualising Archangels completely out of the blue, as if they were quietly waiting until I was ready to connect. I wasn’t consciously aware of who or what they were; I still wasn't sure what was imagination or a true message. For me, these visuals are like faint whispers in a dark room—thoughts that are clear but not fully detailed. While the 3D visualising isn't new for me, this experience of seeing things I’ve never encountered before—images of the Archangels or messages from those who've passed—is. It’s an unknown factor, a work in progress that I love testing, always curious to see how it might align with science.
Before I knew anything about Archangels, I’d already had similar experiences, even with images of Egyptian gods (Out of the blue!). Once, I sketched an image I saw in meditation and later found the exact match online, which led me down a rabbit hole of spiritual stories and deities like Thor, Isis, and others. (Thor is credited with creating Tarot) So when Archangels began showing up for me, I trusted their presence and started exploring more.
As it turns out, many religions and spiritual traditions believe in Archangels, creating a fascinating universal link that, to me, is proof of something deeper and shared across cultures. In Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, Archangels like Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael are revered as powerful beings with divine missions. Meanwhile, some Eastern traditions and New Age metaphysical paths consider them as energetic guardians guiding us through various stages of life and spiritual development. Each tradition offers its own unique take on these beings, but the common thread is that they exist to guide, protect, and assist.
From a metaphysical perspective, Archangels are seen as high-vibrational beings, neither bound by physical form nor limited to one particular tradition. Instead, they’re thought to exist as universal energies that can be accessed by anyone open to their influence. In this view, Archangels represent qualities within ourselves—like courage, compassion, or healing—that we can invoke and strengthen by simply inviting them into our thoughts or aligning ourselves with their energy. Many metaphysical teachings hold that each Archangel emits a unique colour or frequency, and tuning into these colours helps us absorb their energies more fully.
I’ve learned that connecting with Archangels can be as simple as envisioning their colours or inviting them to help with specific aspects of life. Whether through silent thought or spoken word, we can call on these energies to guide us. Meditating with Archangels can be as simple as closing your eyes, relaxing, and visualising yourself surrounded by their colour. Imagine breathing in this light with each slow, gentle breath, allowing it to fill your body and soul with the Archangel’s unique energy and purpose. Here’s what I’ve come to know about these powerful helpers, the colours associated with each, and what we can ask of them.
